Welcome to the Turkey Sports Tipping and Fantasy News Board. The Turkey Sports administrators use this page to update its members on changes and news that relate to Turkey Sports.
This includes everything that relates to all of the sport competitions that are run on the site. AFL Fantasy, NRL Tipping and AFL Tipping.
Please visit this page on a regular basis to be kept up to date and informed of changes and news for each of the competitions.

If you have a suspended player in your lineup, you will notice he can not be moved. Do not worry!!! As it is the first round you will not be penalized and they will be treated by the system as an injured player currently does. i.e. a reserve will be used if required.
So make sure your team is ordered how it needs to be and get ready for Round 1!
Do some exploring this year, there are some new options in the Coach Options menu drop down that will only help throughout the season. The site is still going through some changes to its layout and design (you would have noticed quite a change from last years). If you do notice any issues, let us know here at Turkey Sports.
As per usual the website will be locked off at 7:25pm Friday night before the first game.

This is a reminder that the NRL season starts this Friday the 16th.
If you have registered make sure you have completed your tips for the 1st round!! (remember that by failing to enter any tips into this competition for a round that all away teams are automtically chosen)
If you havn't registered, get registering ASAP! Get your team in there now so you don't miss out on valuable points.
Teams will be locked out for Round One 5 minutes before the first game on Friday night. | |

Each year the regulars notice some slight changes to how the website is designed and also more importantly some of the rules change....
This just adds a little spice to the game each season.
As always, Turkey Sports recommends that before each season you read the rules & info links supplied in the top navigation (especially for those new to Turkey Sports).
But, for those that want to know now....here is a quick run down.
Firstly, the biggest change to the Turkey Sports formula is the introduction of the new AFL and NRL tipping comps. Turkey Sports is hoping that those that just don't have time to get into the fantasy competitions will still be able to enjoy the challenge and enjoyment of following their sport through the simple game of tipping.
Secondly, the next biggest change is the introduction of the Play For Points competition. In this competition, unlike the normal Round Robin comps, each team plays to get the highest amount of points for the season. At the end of the season...the team with the most points...WINS! How simple is that. To make it even easier, we've increased the amount of trades you can make throughout the season. It should be fun and an easy way play fantasy afl without the stress of who you are playing.
Thirdly, and this relates to the AFL Fantasy, is the ability for teams to sack and hire players during the season. The function of trading is still available, however want to free up some cash? Sack a few...then hire up to fill your team when needed. Now...this is really going to put spice into the round robin game.
